BACK PAIN AFTER 40 ISN’T ALWAYS A BACK PROBLEM
Back Pain Relief in Carrollton TX: Why Your Back May Not Be the Real Problem
After 30 years of helping adults 40+ move better, feel stronger, and regain confidence in their bodies, I’ve learned that many cases of back pain are influenced by how the body moves—not just what shows up on an MRI.
Many people are told their pain is caused by aging, a bulging disc, or normal wear and tear. While those issues can sometimes contribute to pain, the real problem is often found elsewhere.
In many cases, back pain is influenced by:
Poor hip alignment
Tight or weak psoas muscles
Weak core muscles
Loss of strength from inactivity
Spending too much time sitting and not enough time moving
The body is built to move. And we we sit for hours without getting up every 30 minutes and doing something, walk around the house, or 10 squats, pushups ( we call these snacks) little movements every 30 minutes through the day.
When your body does not move. The pelvic will move, the hips become tight, the hip flexors quads and hamstrings become tight, the core becomes weak, and muscles stop doing their job, the lower back is often forced to absorb more stress than it was designed to handle.
The good news?
Fix the cause, and the effect often improves.
Many of our clients report:
